1.
If I could speak the lines written on the trail, you would see towering pines and ships without sails. Heard a tongue for the first time stepping off the plane. Heard the bells sweetly chime at St. Patrick's gate. If you take me back to then, I will show you all my friends. If you could fit inside the clutter of my head, you would meet friends of mine hidden among the mess. If you take me back to then, I will show you all my friends. Woke at dawn seeking fire for all my heat had left. Met a boy who loved to hide and wore a coat of red. If you take me back to then, I will show you all my friends.

I have longed, longed for your love. Hear me, bumble bee rambling by my side, there's this girl I'm sure will change my life. When she talks, time stops and colors come alive. Her touch sends bolts of lightning down my spine. I must tell her, I have longed, longed for your love. Swing low, sweet sparrow sailing in the sky, let me tell you of this love of mine. Her heart's made of crimson poppies and twine. There are two oceans teeming in her eyes. So I told her, I have longed for your love. And I was made for you, and you were made for me. I have longed, longed for your love.

See the train tracks fly beneath my feet. Feel the engine, it's humming with speed. How I wish the olden times were mine, as I watch the yellow pines flash by. From the cliff's edge, I receive the breeze as she glides from open sea to me. Oh, to seek the ivory end and mend. Drink the sweetness with both hands again…and again…and again. I'm spurned on, yearning in my chest. I sing loud 'til there's nothing left. Oh, to seek the ivory end and mend. Drink the sweetness with both hands again…and again.

Enoch Walked 03:01

about

This is a 4-song EP of songs I wrote with Garrett Miller. We were friends for over 10 years when he passed away and we played music together throughout many of those years, but these are the only four we sat down and wrote. The EP's cover uses a picture I took of Garrett getting baptized in Mexico in the summer of 2005. I hope that Enoch Walked honors him and his music and his friendship to me.
